EXECUTIVE BACKGROUND and PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS

DANIEL M. PAINE, President

Mr. Paine is the former President and CEO of the SINCO Group, Inc., serving in that position for 22 years from 1974 to 1996, during which time he successfully directed the design, manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of a broad spectrum of internationally recognized fall protection and other safety systems and equipment for the construction industry.  He resigned his position upon the sale of SINCO in 1996.

During that time, Mr. Paine became widely recognized as an expert in active and passive fall arrest concepts and systems, and had extensive experience as a leader and member of many industry and governmental advisory committees addressing safety standards and regulations.

This background served as the catalyst to his legislative activities where he was influential in proposing new and revised safety legislation before the U.S. Senate Committee on Labor and Human Resources, and to his frequent lecturing and speaking engagements before such national organizations as The National Safety Council, The American Society of Safety Engineers, The Ironworkers Contractors Insurance Program, and The Governors' Pacific Rim Safety and Health Conference.

Mr. Paine, a native and present resident of Connecticut, received his BA from Union College, Schenectady, New York.

ABOUT INNOVATIVE SAFETY GROUP . . .

Mr. Pain founded Innovative Safety in October, 1996 to continue his hands-on involvement and input in construction safety practices, legislation and new safety equipment.  A significant focus of the firm's mission centers on helping clients analyze specific job-site safety problems and developing a targeted plan and equipment schedule to minimized contractor financial exposure and maximize worker safety.  Completing its service menu for the industry, the firm has also created two additional divisions - one dedicated to assisting contractors in developing new standards and legislation, and the other offering legal defense assistance to construction firms on the occasion of the inevitable job accidents.

Mr. Paine puts his vision succinctly, "Today's environment mandates that job-site safety can't be approached on a piece-meal "add-on-from-the-last-job" basis.  To be successful and meet regulations, safety procedures and equipment specification and deployment must be analyzed and carefully planned and executed for each construction site.  We think we can be the only national firm to bring that capability to the contractor - from A to Z - helping attain the most favorable insurance rating and improving bottom-line operating results . . both financial and in terms of optimum worker safety."

"We think our background experience and perspective gives Innovative Safety Group an uncommon strength to do the job."
